Wawa to Sponsor NASCAR Team DGM Racing, Kyle Weatherman and Josh Bilicki with Custom Chevrolet Camaros and Driver Meet and Greets at Local Store
LAKE WALES, FL, (August 19, 2024) - As NASCAR returns to Daytona International Speedway, fresh food and beverage retailer, Wawa, Inc. will serve as title sponsor of the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race and will rev up the fun even more for fans by sponsoring DGM Racing Chevrolet Camaros.
Wawa will expand its presence in Daytona by partnering with the Florida-based race team, DGM Racing, who has 45 starts at Daytona International Speedway in the last decade. Coca-Cola will join Wawa on Kyle Weatherman’s No. 91, while Josh Bilicki will sport black and red on his No. 92 Wawa Chevy Camaro.
“As a convenience retailer committed to providing trusted quality products and speedy service for the past 60 years, we are proud to sponsor the Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola and the DGM Racing festivities as it’s another way to Fulfill Lives in our community,” said Kevin McGrath, Wawa’s New & Emerging Markets Manager. “Being a family and associate owned company, we are proud to partner with a race team that understands the value of family and shares a passion for winning.”
While this race marks Wawa’s first primary sponsorship with DGM Racing, Wawa has been a team sponsor at several races this year including the season-opener race at Daytona. As NASCAR’s only full-time team based in Florida, DGM Racing’s shop is headquartered less than 10 miles from Wawa’s Lake Wales location, making Wawa the perfect pit stop for Team DGM during a busy day at the shop.
“It’s easy to represent a brand that our team actually loves,” Team Owner, Mario Gosselin exclaims. “Our local Wawa fuels our early mornings and late nights whether we are working on race cars at the shop or traveling the country to our next race. We’re thrilled to represent the Wawa colors as we tackle our home track in Daytona!”
The Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola is scheduled for Friday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Qualifying is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. ET. All on-track activity will be televised live on USA network.

About Wawa
Wawa, Inc., a privately held company, began in 1803 as an iron foundry in New Jersey. Toward the end of the 19th Century, owner George Wood took an interest in dairy farming and the family began a small processing plant in Wawa, PA in 1902. The milk business was a huge success, due to its quality, cleanliness and “certified” process. As home delivery of milk declined in the early 1960s, Grahame Wood, George’s grandson, opened the first Wawa Food Market in 1964 in Pennsylvania as an outlet for dairy products. Today, Wawa is your all day, every day stop for freshly prepared foods, beverages, coffee, fuel services and surcharge-free ATMs. Wawa stores are located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C. with nearly 1,000 locations to date. The stores offer a large fresh foodservice selection, including Wawa brands such as custom prepared hoagies, freshly-brewed coffee, hot breakfast sandwiches, hand-crafted specialty beverages, a dinner menu including burgers and pizza, an assortment of soups, sides and snacks. Forbes.com Ranks Wawa as #20 of America’s Largest Private Companies, #1 in Convenience Category for America’s Best Customer Service by Newsweek, one of Forbes 2023 America’s Best Employers for Women and New College Grads.
